STILL MAKING A NEW SLAB OF WAX TO LAY ON ALL THE KIDS

Posted by Chris on September 17, 2007

so we are well on our way to having this record in the can…most of the tracking is done and it looks like we are going back to Martin Feveyear to mix this record…he did the last one and in all the in stores and radio stations and juke boxes that I heard the last record in it kicked some actual physical ass so we are gonna get his talented fingers to touch our knobs again on this one….I think we have a track list too so here it is…so low so high, mixed up sob, ghosts are everywhere, more bad times, french girl, ladybug, sharpen up those fangs, rot in the sun, truckstop butterfly, flame is love, warhead, deleter, poor turtle, loose balloon….subject to chance of course but these are the 14 that we are gonna concentrate on till the end of the process…I am in west seattle at a wee coffe shop having a jalepeno egg bagel (yums) this morning on my way to meet with the people that I am scoring a movie for…it’s a documentary about mega-churches…and I am putting some fonky fonky tunes in there…augie and jo jo are back in school and the frost is on the pumpkins in the morning here…well not really but the dew is on the melons anyway…went camping for the last time last week and I am wearing a jacket today (not jennifers) so there be chills in the airs…oh and you may have noticed that I cancelled my Myspace and BEBO pages… just not into that thing really…too much time in front of a computer and not enough outside walking around….make sense? I think so…I just felt like people that know me can call me up or email me and people that don’t can find me here on the pusa site and I never really looked at those pages anymore and they felt a little dusty because of that so I decided to end the experiment…not trying to be less reachable just cleaning house…ok that’s all for now…bye bye!

ON THE VERGE OF AMAZING ROK AND ROLL MAKING POWER

Posted by Chris on June 3, 2007

well…the kids are in bed and the house is clean and the dishes are in the dishwasher and the neighborhood kitties are making screeching noises and the clouds are gathering and the sun has set and in the morning we will take on the most noblest of missions…one that since the dawn of time has confused kings and made armies tremble with fear at the very thought of having to face the raw nerves of pure steel that is required to do battle on the most hallowed of ground in a place called THE RECORDING STUDIO…the quest? to try to capture the fun of rok and roll and make copies of it. sounds simple but it is a daunting task to be sure…to quiet the chatter of distractions…too access the fearless bravado to hit the highest notes available to humans….to relax and have a cold brew and still perform like a well oiled machine…to tamp down the ego long enough to accept the fact that your instrument is actually too loud….all this and the soul gathering courage to smile through the tears…this is our mission…and we accept it with high hopes of delivering a truly fine suite of imagination tickling party numbers….whew…now…to sleep…

AAAAAAMSTERDAAAAAAMED!!!!!!

Posted by Chris on January 3, 2007

Hey all you PUSA MONKEY-BEARS….as you may know we played on New Years Eve at the Paradiso in Amsterdam and it was possibly the best show ever…Im actually serious…the mojo was FULL FULL FULLY flowing and I had multiple religious experiences as I dispensed the pure music that we sometimes make…the club has a very relaxed security policy so that people can get up on stage and jump off into the crowd as many times as they want. This combined with the fact that people in Amsterdam are very chill and funky makes for a dynamic fun show where the line between the corwd and the band is blurry at best. We like it like that! at the end the stage was almost completly full of audience members singing along and dancing....I couldnt see Jason or Andrew at all!! they all sang along with the end of video killed the radio star like a chior of very drunk angels!....even the terminally shy Nicola was up there on stage!!!! I was so proud of her...The fireworks outside before the show were great too...we only had to walk right out of the club and look up to see them.....most of the noise came from these huge bricks of firecrackers that people in the crowd were setting off....one brick was so big that we couldnt even look at it the smoke and noise were so intense....good times were had by all....i will be heading home in a few days and buying a house!! Its a little 1944 post-war bungalow with a bedroom for each of the kids upstairs and a backyard for songwriting and a firepit for drinking and talking aroud...just the right size for me....so I am starting 2007 with a bang bang bang a gong!!! I hope you all are off to a killer start too...OH AND I AM WRITING SONGS...some of them are even good...haw....see ya...
